You poor poor thing!
If you haven't read rainweaver13's fics then do , they are lovely.

Otherwise I have little to offer. I wasn't around last night due to falling asleep ridiculously early. Although I am finally going to see Guys And Dolls at the Picadilly on the 13 Sept.

Chin up - think Verona!

After a bit I got to enjoy feeling sorry for myself and phoned everyone I knew in Ireland on my work phone, so it wasn't so bad, until I terrified the cleaner in the morning. (She thought I was a body...)

PS
I hope Ewan in the flesh proves more sexually exciting than Gael!

Oops. Was sucked into reading porn until the wee hours and by now you are blearily awake with odd cramps from lumpy futon and wondering how crappy machine-vended coffee will be. But no longer haunted by campus spooks. Ah well.

But I will second the rec for Quicksilver. Have not been so in love with a romance (in the original sense of the word) since Dorothy Dunnet's Lymond Chronicles (which Stephenson acknowledges in his notes at end of third book! *hearts!*).

See above. The most frightened person was the poor cleaner who screamed blue murder at 7 am to find what she thought was a body on the floor of the office, apparently dead after a struggle - but really me in my usual untidy sleeping posture, which does involve much kicking and throwing bedclothes into inventive shapes.

I did feel as though I'd somehow grown another shoulder blade.

No, term not started quite yet, thank God. So back home again, now for another week and a half (only in the interim we're going to Italy for a short holiday, comprising gelati, Renaissance painting and opera in that order).

Am in denial about term starting. I threw a hissy fit about what appeared to be an impossible schedule - THREE lecture courses, two seminar courses, one graduate course and a staggering amount of admin, only to discover it was due to a secretary's misprint and I've only got TWO lecture courses etc. Suspect temper wasn't improved by lumpiness of office futon, mind you.

My utter, utter sympathy re term starting. It's at times like this I fantasise about being an undertaker or jellybean designer.

Hi,

Just to let you know that your *first* drabble has been posted on my journal. It's CS Jack/Jem, called "Solace" (crappy title, but I'm no good at titles!).

I'm sure I'll be doing at least another one of your requests, possibly more, so I'll let you know as and when they're posted.
