Back in the city, I found one of those apples and mangoes that 4WD keeps going on and on about, though in the end, it did turn out to be a crystal.  Having touched it, I'm not quite sure that I want to remember what came before this place.  Everything I've gotten so far is just conflict and pain.  And that boy, with his voice and those iwants.  As ( Read more... )

I haven't a clue what an emo is, but I'm glad to see your feeling all right after whatever unpleasant fruit-related adventures you underwent.

I've yet to see any food, but I know for a fact that there are fish around.

An emo is like -- god how do I put it -- have you ever known somebody completely useless? Just because they're too worried feeling bad about themselves? An emo is kind of like that. Only where I come from they usually have pale skin and a really bad haircut.

You and I then, should go hunting for snacks. And as a point of reference, as I write this, I am nodding. Very sagely. My spider sense tells me that Argent and fish don't play well very much. But at least it's not French, or not silver.

What in the world is a spider sense?

What with all the things I'm helplessly adverse too, I almost feel like an emo myself.

...At least I have very nice hair.

Don't ask.

Trust me, Argent, I've seen emo. And you. Are definitely. Not one of them.

...Yes. Yes you do.

Though, I have to say, it's almost creepy how well you manage to keep your hair. In the face of mannequins, fire ants, and quite possibly the coming of the apocalypse.

A crystal?...

There are the kitchens you can go to..I'm sure you'll find something.

Yeah, apparently they float around in the wilderness sometimes. When you touch them, you gain a memory -- at least, parts of one. Unfortunately, you don't get to choose what you experience. And mine...well...let's just say it wasn't nice.

Excellent! Thanks, by the way, I appreciate it. Um. Is the food free or, do we have to pay for it? I'm sort of kind of totally broke.

Something tells me that they don't come easy. If you go looking for them, take somebody with you -- like me, or something. When I found mine I was on my own, and the mannequins, well, they attacked me.

Oh, I'm Throne, by the way. It's nice to me meet you.

I highly recommend Claw's cooking. He's very, very good.

Claw -- he's the one with the flowers and stuff, yeah? When I get on deck, should I just follow my nose? I have no idea how huge this place is...

By the way, how are you doing, Drake? I know that you'd gotten hurt pretty bad a while back.

That's him, yes. I think the kitchens are belowdeck though. I haven't had a whole lot of chance to explore, too busy working.

I'm doing well now. I had a bit of a relapse a few days ago, but it wasn't nearly as bad.

Oh -- and imagine the biggest boat you can think of. Then multiply that by three and that's probably how big this thing is.

Oh god, how do people find one another, then? Around where are the kitchens located at? Any landmarks or anything that will help me out? Otherwise, I'll just have to wing it.

I'm glad to hear that you're doing alright, though. I was seriously worried about you, man. How about the others -- has anybody else got hurt? I'm assuming that there aren't any ants on the ship.

Dude, tell that to Four Wheel Drive. The crazy little guy calls these memory crystal things apples and mangoes. Though, I guess I can see the resemblance. Not much, but they're at least the same size. Kind of.

Dude. Not you. Four Wheel Drive -- he's little. Or at least, that's the impression I get. In honesty, I've never met him.

As for you -- I have no idea whether or not you're little. Though, something tells me if you've got that strong of a reaction to it, there's gotta be something making you twitchy. No offense.
