I'm back in Malaysia now where the internet is slow and the food is good. Also a heads-up, people who have my London address, I'm no longer staying there ( Read more... )

i was/am pretty resistant to this bbc series ("he doesn't look like holmes!!" i said, but i thought that about robert downey too...& now i love him). also, victorian london is kind of part and parcel of holmes for me. however if it won you over, then i will give it a shot.

i finished all the phoenix wright games, including the edgeworth one. which one are you on? the final case of the 3rd one (i think) is quite exciting. of course miles is my fav...

He really doesn't look like Holmes, does he? I only started warming up to this version of Holmes in the second half of the episode especially because he looked so young when he first appeared.
I wonder if the 'modern' thing is the reason why it only got 3 episodes for this season? BBC probably wasn't sure if it would be well received but I snooped around a bit and it seems to be garnering positive reviews and there are rumours of more episodes in the future.
Nevertheless, I think it's a fun watch so yeah, do give it a try! :D
(the plot is so-so, but the character interactions are good.)

Phoenix Wright, I'm playing the first game and I'm on the last case, the one with Lana Skye. I keep getting stuck, haha. I like Miles but I like him more when there's someone to antagonise him like the security lady in the Steel Samurai case...

in momentary absent-mindedness i said miles is my fav - he's actually my #2. #1 is wendy oldbag. she appears in all the games, but i think it's in the second one that she gets a helmet and a phaser to blast people with. and i forget which game it is, but she sends miles a weekly bouquet lol. it's in his office ~~

the lana skye case is looong. i totally got stuck during that case. i like jake marshall and his music. :D i also like ema and angel, though the judge gets on my my nerves!

ok, i will give this holmes series a try. *goes to find ep. 1*

Does she? I look forward to encountering her in the second game then. I've played the first two games in the second game (I think it's the second game) but I've yet to meet her there.

I'm not sure if I can finish the Lana Skye case as the file seems to be corrupted or something so I'll probably resume playing the second game now. I quite like that case, even though it's really quite a pain and I keep getting stuck. I find Chief Police Gant the most annoying because most of the time all he says is that he can't tell you anything and you always have to wait for him to finish slowly blinking his eyes before he talks! Maybe I'm just impatient. I like all the extra bits that case has, like turning the evidence around to examine them, testing for blood, testing for fingerprints... when they said 'dust and blow' I didn't know they literally meant blow, haha.

Being back home is very different from being in London, but yes, it is good to be home :)
This Sherlock series is new, it just started a couple of weeks ago. The first episode is good, the second one not so much.

I saw it being advertised somewhere in London and nearly choked on my coffee :/
Holmes is one series where I don't want the main characters to be bishounen. Meh.

Yay I should get you hooked on Edgeworth's game then <3

Both Holmes and Watson aren't exactly bishounen in the series la.
(Okay, some say that Holmes is, I say it depends on the angle.)
But this is not something I would recommend to you *coughpuristcough*

I'm playing the game with the Nickel Samurai and the Jammin' Ninja and I've just reached the part where Edgeworth appears again and is dropping hints and acting all coy with the evidence.

Your icon... so modest, boss.

Actually, Holmes looks terrible DDD: he's not a bad actor though, if he can keep me watching despite the maggi mee hair and lack of chin...

....I swear I replied to this comment already where did my reply go......

ANYWAY I don't think he looks terrible, just not very like a traditional Holmes. And at least he dyed his hair black for the role.
Have you watched the last episode?
