I'm so weary of the past eight years; war in a country where previous events shouldn't have lead us and our bad reputation (in terms of decision making) with the rest of the world over the past eight years. How could it not be time for something different?
I just can't understand the appeal of the McCain- Palin ticket. McCain doesn't even want to repair our reputation with world leaders at a crucial time to repair our reputation. He believes simply having a conversation with another country (even Cuba!) means that we approve of their actions. If we want to get in to experience, Sarah Palin has even less experience than Barack Obama. Though, he isn't a super hero politician and he does speak some rhetoric like other politicians, I feel like Barack is a genuine and honest individual (as genuine and honest as a politician can be. I'm not sure exactly what is false about his campaign actions...)
I doubt this "magic want capability" as well. Obama will be up to his neck of an array of problems that even after he won, I found my self thinking "Really? Can he really change all this?" I think that it is possible for him to change direction, but I can't call to an actual degree it will happen. We'll see...
