Been really busy... >_<... School has officially started, coming into the second week now. I'm taking 3.5 modules this term, which means that I have four classes a week but one of them will cease after the mid-term break, so it's a 0.5 module. So far so good. On Thursday night I ended up sewing outfits for Clement's bears, and at one go I finished four outfits. Inspiration? "Prom Night". I literally went and found pictures of prom dresses and took some ideas from there.

I didn't think I could do it, in fact, this afternoon at 3pm I distinctly wanted to give up and not do the headdress for EOY (leave it for photoshoot instead), but I persevered and it's finished!!! *beams* Done with brocade, navy cloth, plastic fencing, blue cloth, cardboard, nailpolish and puffy paint. O_O. I think I managed to finish around 90% of the cloth part of my costume in one day. Okay fine, one day + one night. But still O_o. I realise that I'm VERY motivated to sew, just not motivated to wake up early. Hahaha... Woke up at 9.30 again when I was supposed to wake up at 8. >_<. Oh well. Just have to make full use of my time. I finished two more hats yesterday, making my quota of six hats!! If nothing else works out I at least have six hats to sell at the booth! ^_ ( Read more... )

Took a little break from sewing to go down to Clement's to see the jewellery he has for his bears (am now inspired to sew a series of evening gowns for his bears.... after the 15th!), and to buy some denim and batting from Chinatown (there's this delightful shop on the second floor selling interfacing, batting, thread and zippers and buttons. *o*. I'm trying to reduce the size of my potential doll-tote and just want to find out some measurements of Hound Dolls (these ARE the biggest ones around... right?). I've tried DoA but they only have the normal measurements... not what I need... so people who own Hound dolls, please just whip out your ruler/measuring tape and help me measure these ( Read more... )
