Usually when Mason pees inside I can realise it's my fault. Sometimes though, I'm completely baffled!

Muddy is house trained indoors and out. He knows the "spots" where he can use a puppy pad, or outside. However, when we're playing fetch indoors and he gets too excited or if we're eating near him but not sharing, he'll go over to one of the puppy pads and pee very close, but not directly on it, ON PURPOSE. he does it at least 3 or 4 times a week. I swear its for attention because he doesn't like us eating and not playing with him....

I know that mishaps are usually attributed to the owner, and I definitely need to be schooled in better puppy training, but I don't know how to get him to keep peeing on the pad, during these 2 occasions. I'm pretty baffled.

I could be totally wrong, and maybe he isn't as house trained as I thought... but I totally feel you on your post and karagilsdorf's post.

If Georgie has an accident 9 out of 10 times its because it was my fault and then its no issue.

But the time when she went on her wee pad she was picked up by us and brought on the bed. She looked right in our face and peeeeeeed

We sat there like WTF?

Sometimes they just temporarily lose their minds.

Your pup is adorable!

wow... she looks almost exactly like my chi, chewie. do you have any more pictures of her? seriously, if she wasn't wearing a pink sweater, i'd think it was him!

we were letting chewie sleep in the bed with us until he started peeing on the bed for no reason. he did it a few times, so now he sleeps in the tv room in his little tent with his litter box so he can go when he needs to. i have no idea why he started doing it, but now that he sleeps in another room he hasn't had any accidents and it's a lot better for my boyfriend and i, who don't have to get up with him in the middle of the night :)

She's a chihuahua and (suspected) italian greyhound mix. At 10 lbs she's tall but skinny!

Chewie looks chew-tastic!!!

Did Chewie have a way to easily get on and off the bed? If not maybe he knew he wouldn't be able to get back up if he got down? I built some kick butt stairs for Murry out of plain cardboard and purple duct tape because my bed is almost 3 feet tall and we haven't had a problem since.
