Summertime Chicago mini-outing next saturday on the 29th (location is El accessible by brown line):
Trip to the Armitage location Lush store & local window shopping on Saturday afternoon. Would anybody like to join me? I’ll be heading out to buy some Lush and window-shop (lots of cute boutiques and stores in the area) on May 29th at 12:00 and if anybody would like to join me please speak up :) For those not familiar with Lush, follow me behind the magic cut-tag
Lush is a store that specializes in fresh-made, minimally packaged bath, fragrance and skincare products. I happen to really love Lush even though they are a bit spendy. But I like that I can spend $5 and walk out with a little piece of indulgence - maybe overpriced for one bath, but like Lolita, a fabulous extravagance <3 Plus I have to admit I’m a sucker for matching my bath products to the prints I’m wearing soooooo, here are my lolified recommendations if you have never gone to Lush:
Rose fans should have no trouble finding something, here are a few of my favorites:
“Absolute Delight” bath bomb - Turkish rose absolute (the perfume made from fresh rose petals), geranium and a touch of sandalwood and jasmine.
“Amandopondo” bubble bar - a solid bubble-bath bar with citrus notes balancing the rose.
“Queen of Hearts” soap - made with a rose petal infusion base, cocoa butter, almond and geranium oils.
“A Ring of Roses” buttercream soap - rose absolute base, cocoa butter and lemon.
Those who love sweets and candy scented things should check out “rock star” soap, “honey lumps” bath bomb, “creamy candy” or “marzibain” bubble bars, and “MMM Melting Marshmallow Moment” bath melt.
For Sakura fans they have a Sakura bath bombs and solid perfume.
Fruits/berries fans can find “happy blooming” a cherry bath melt, and “strawberry feels forever” massage bar.
Heh, you bad drunk-a-holic lolis should check out the Emotibomb (you use it right in your shower to add fragrance to shower steam) called “too drunk …” (fans of the Dead Kennedys will know the rest of that)
also on the itinerary is a trip to Vosges!
