Do you know what is in-between your town and Chicago? I haven't traveled to the western suburbs very much.

The two places I can think of right now are Rockford and Woodstock, since I had a boyfriend from there and we'd take the train into Chicago when I'd come visit. Rockford is about 45 minutes East from me, so that would be a bit farther for Chitown Lolitas.

Rockford also has Anderson Gardens (the Japanese garden park...thing) I know there have been meet-up's there in the past ^.^

Oh! And Woodstock has a French restaurant with crepes within like a block or two of the train station :P That was where I went for my first meet-up

Awesome! You should let me know if you'll be in Sterling this summer so we can meet up. There isn't a lot of exciting things there, and I don't think Sterling has ever SEEN a Lolita, but there's a nice park where we could picnic. *gasp* we could even have a mini meetup!!!

I would love to meet up with you in an area and just have fun. I don't mind the drive, I love to travel.

I was planning a trip to the Botanical Gardens in August (when the roses are in full bloom) and have a picnic. I'm not sure if that's halfway, but it isn't in the city so driving there is a bit easier. Also, one of the gals in this comm has get togethers in this gorgeous park in Lombard (is that where it is?) which is a Western suburb.

don't they have a lot of summer festivals out there? i've been to things in rock falls, freeport and mt.morris. mt.caroll's mayfest is coming up too xD maybe we could hang out at one of those, though you're practically in iowa so i'm not sure how many people could make it. i'm up for any events you want to plan though, it's a whole lot easier driving west than driving into the city. maybe a weekend sleepover at a cute breakfast place?

That would be a lot of fun too! There is this place that's a bit of a drive for everyone, but it's called Tanner's. My family and I used to go there to pick pumpkins. I'd have to see if they're open year-round, but I thought that would be the PERFECT place for a Lolita meet.
