Back in Olympus, Venus had painstakingly raised Minnie. She had other muses as her daughters and even Cupid as her son but no one compares to the demigod Minnie. She loved her so much more as she is the only reminder of a love story with a bitter ending.
“omma.. who is my father?”
Minnie asked as Venus brushes her hair. Venus was struck by the sudden inquisition.
“why do you ask?”
“Because all of them are teasing me.. they say that I’m a filthy half-blood.”
“nope.. you’re not filthy although you are a half-blood. Your appa is a good person.”
Venus smiled and kissed her daughter’s forehead.
“can I see him?”
Venus froze as her daughter demanded such an impossible thing.
“let me see what I can do…”
She smiled and continued brushing her hair. Later that night, Venus consulted Athena for advice. They both approached Apollo for his oracle.
in the day of your feast, thy powers reveal greater than that of Hera’s law. On that day, gods and goddesses alike can go to earth in free will..
Venus was delighted, Athena was half and half.
“It’s a month before our birthdays, we can meet them..”
Venus happily exclaimed, yet Athena felt that she needed not to disturb the peaceful life Kangin had worked hard to build. Venus then turned to his father for his consent. In front of the council of Gods and Goddesses, Venus presented her plea.
“on that day, let Minnie meet her father, just this day, let her spend her time with her dad.”
Zeus, who longs for his son Siwon was moved, Hera was not.
“it is best that we give Minnie this chance so as not to be deprived of her rights. As a demigod, she will only have definite time and her dad as a mortal have limited time. Let’s not deny him of his paternal rights.”
Athena defended her sister and all the others members of the council agreed, giving her permission. Venus gladly dressed Minnie in her pink dress and led her to the gates of the Forbidden City. Minnie’s eyes widened as she witness Earth in its full splendor.
“omma, you met appa here> it’s beautiful here”
Heechul nodded and led her to a cab which drove to a restaurant in Beijing. They both went out of the cab and entered the restaurant. Mrs. Han greeted them.
“hai, such pretty ladies”
The two thanked her dearly and sat on one of the chairs. Hangeng came to get their orders. He was surprised to see Heechul in all her beauty yet he has to act formally.
“your orders?”
Heechul smiled at him.
“your specialty please”
Minnie was super excited and asked her mom.
“omma.. why are we in China? Is appa here?”
With those words, Hangeng took a good look at the little girl in pink.
‘May I talk to you in private?”
Heechul nodded and left Minnie for a while as some dumplings were served. Hangeng led her to a small room adjacent to the restaurant.
“who is her father.”
Heechul was speechless.
“I am asking you who is her father.”
Heechul would want to say that Hangeng was her father and that she loved him so so much but it was all nerves that consumed Heechul. She made a run for it and grabbed Minnie out of the restaurant and back to the Forbidden city. She opened the portal and back to Olympus she went, but Minnie was left behind. Minnie was crying as she sees herself alone in the palace. She thought her own mother abandoned her for good. Hangeng caught up and saw Minnie crying. He took her into her arms and made her stop crying.
“what is happening? Why is Minnie still on earth?”
Venus was confused and Athena sent Hermes to investigate. Hermes appeared before Minnie and Hangeng. Minnie saw him and run to him.
“by any chance did she eat something here?”
Hermes asked Hangeng and he nodded.
“some dumplings..”
“Does it contains sesame seeds”
Hangeng nodded, Hermes shook his head.
“we have to let her stay on earth as it is the rules, once she had eaten sesame seeds, then she has to stay there for a while.”
Athena told her sister.
“No.. I can’t lose Minnie”
“she’ll be back.”
Hermes reported that Minnie had eaten Three Dumplings and Venus was devastated.
“she has to stay there for three months.”
Zeus said and Venus had t agree. Hermes delivered the message and said goodbye to both of them. Minnie started crying, Hangeng held her closer again. Venus decided to come back to earth and settle one thing.
“You can’t do that!”
Hera warned her.
“It’s still my feast day.. I have powers over that restriction.”
Heechul appeared before the two and Minnie hugged her. Heechul looked at her daughter and concern then talked to Hangeng in Chinese.
“I know that you hate me but until she reached 21 and obtain her freedom, I want you to please take care of her for three months each year. I do not ask that you love her or accept her, all I ask is that you take care of her..”
Heechul was on the verge of crying.
“just tell me one thing.. Heechul, is she my daughter?”
Heechul did not respond and turn to face the portal.
“Tell me Heechul..”
“she’s your daughter.”
Heechul replied without looking back. Heechul then talked to her daughter.
“Minnie-ah, be good to your appa.. I’ll be back in three months”
Heechul then left them completely. Hangeng took Minnie by the hand.
“Minnie dear..”
“appa.. why can’t we be a happy family?”
Hangeng hugged the daughter and shed tears.
“things are complicated now, but there’ll be a time when we three will be complete, You, me and omma..”
Minnie held on to that promise and every year she would spend three months on Earth, spending time with her father. Minnie longs for her father’s embrace and lessons. He is a good man, her mom is right about that. He is gentle and compassionate. He still helps out in the family restaurant despite being an architect already.
However, Minnie still wishes her family would be complete, when she makes dumplings with her mom and dad, not just her dad.. or when she plays the lyre for her parents not just her mom. She wants to see her parents hug each other and not shed tears for each other. When she is on Earth, she would see his dad secretly cry staring at Heechul’s picture. When she is in Olympus, she would see her mom crying in front of the mirror, remembering her dad. It was complicated for her, gifted with such beauty yet happiness did not bless her.
“what are you doing dear?”
Athena asked Minnie when she saw Minnie by the hill staring at the rainbow Iris had created.
“can Olympians find happiness on Earth?”
Athena nodded.
“of course they do..”
“but can they find happiness when their true love is far from them?”
“Minnie, our situation is a bit complicated…”
“I know.. why does it have to be?”
Minnie walks away, leaving the papyrus behind with charcoal sketching. Athena looked at it and smiled as she recognizes the face. At the same time, she felt in her heart the true intention of her son.
“I believe it’s time to set the rules straight!”
Athena muttered to herself and searched for Minnie.
“you left your sketch.”
Minnie took it and embraced it.
“by any chance….”
“I can’t explain it but when I was on that hill, I felt a strong connection, it’s as if I can hear him spoke to me.. I can feel him touch me..”
“you did dear? Do you know his name?”
Minnie nodded.
“Kyuhyun..”
Athena smiled and grabbed her hand.
“I want to make you happy.. come with me..”
With a smile Athena led Minnie to the Portal and they both find themselves on the busy streets of Seoul.
“Auntie Teukie..”
“I want you to meet someone”
Leeteuk led her to an apartment and opned the door with ease. No one was there and Leeteuk made Minnie enter a room. Minnie’s eyes widened as she saw a mirror image of her being projected. She then saw the picture on the corner and she smiled.
‘kyuhyun..”
She muttered. Leeteuk left her alone and waited for Kangin to return. Minnie explored the room and was happy to know that this was Kyuhyun’s room, he’s real yet she is confused with the projector thing. She then took out the papyrus and pinned it on the wall.

“ok.. so you mean to say, there is this connection between me and Minnie that despite not seeing each other, we had created images of each other?”
Kyuhyun asked his mother.
“I asked Xander and he said that certain strings of the heart connects in mysterious ways, even transcending what is believable or not.”
“ok.. now it’s a bit late so you should both sleep.. well”
Kangin said and Minnie blushed.
“I’ll just sleep on the sofa..”
Kyuhyun said but Minnie stopped her.
“oh no, I should do that.. “
“I can’t let a girl sleep on a sofa while I sleep comfortable on my bed.. go and sleep on my bed I’m ok”
Leeteuk and kangin smiled at the two.
“reminded me of our first night.. we argued a lot..”
“you were so nervous Teukie..”
“Like you’re not..”
Then they went to their room and locked the doors..
