[one-shot] bartender
This is what Mimi found out after being heartbroken for the nth time. Mimi lies in a pool of tears and alcohol as she tried to forget her first love.
“It’s the nth time I caught him cheating!”
Mimi cried as she raises the shot glass and the bartender filled it up for her.
“You let it drag that long?”
The bartender asked as he fills the glass and hands it to the crying girl.
“pabo.. I’m such a fucking stupid bitch! He was my first love..”
“ah.. you know Haangul?”
The bartender was very pleased to hear Mimi speak in Hangul.
“why? You Korean?”
The bartender nodded and smiled at the drunken girl, Mimi had never seen such a childish smile; it’s somehow comforting and calming.
“I’m Mimi and Welcome to China!”
She welcomed Kyuhyun like a five year old joining a little Miss pageant and he is very sure that she is clearly drunk.
“Kyuhyun… hmm it’s pretty hard on my tongue.. your Chinese name?”
Mimi sheepishly smile at Kyuhyun.
“kuaixian…”
“ah. Kuaxian. I like that name.”
Mimi drank the last of her vodka and dropped her head on the counter.
“want to hear a story?”
Mimi muttered
“of course.. if it makes you feel better.”
“I think I like you.. “
Mimi smiled and started her little story.

Flashback
Spring brings forth new life and for others love. Mimi has found her spring when a Canadian asked her out. They met online and lovee sparked the instant they met. Henry was a lethal combination of looks and talent. He was of Chinese descent and is performing for a Gala, a prestigious gathering of renowned talents across the globe.
Henry was mimi’s first love and she would give everything for him. But her friends were very hesitant with Mimi being in a relationship with Henry.
“I can see Kibum in him.. you know that jerk.. I caught him flirting with that bitch!”
Donghae, Mimi’s best friend said when She finally met Henry and saw the same smug on his face.
“you’re too harsh!”
Mimi replied.
“I’m just trying to save you from the heartache mimi!”
“but Kibum is not Henry.. Henry is different, I can assure you of that.”
“FINE. But promise one thing Mimi, don’t give yourself.. “
“of course.. I won’t, don’t worry..”
Mimi was a devout Christian and if anything that she was guarding aside from her faith is her virginity. And this didn’t bother Henry, until it reached boiling point. Henry took Mimi on romantic dates and he was the perfect gentle man until the day she refused. When Mimi refused to sleep with Henry, Things changed and Henry became less interested in her. She would wait for Henry’s call but none came. Mimi would think he was just busy but when this dragged on for the rest of the month. On their anniversary, Mimi was heartbroken when Henry didn’t show up.

“I should’ve known by then that he didn’t love me..”
Mimi was crying a little and asked for another vodka shot.
“I don’t think it’ll help if you drown yourself in alcohol.”
Kyuhyun refused and Mimi gave him a smirk.
“you’re just a bartender, I’m a costumer..”
“I hate to but I have to..”
Kyuhyun sighed as he handed Zhou mi a margarita.
“good boy!”
Mimi drank the cool margarita and she felt a little sober.

The first time that Mimi caught Henry cheating was with a cute little pianist they met in a gala. She played very well and harmonizes with Henry’s violin; a perfect musical concierto. Mimi was utterly shocked but saw it coming anyway. She walked out and Henry tried to explain to Mimi that they are just friends. Mimi believed in a promise of repentance. This was the first heartache.
The second one was during their vacation back in Korea where Henry picked up a bitch named Heechul.
“nothing happened!”
Henry explained but Heechul tells another story.
“he’s pretty good in bed I tell yah..”
And this made Mimi’s blood boil and leave the country in an instant and swore never to return ever. Henry followed her and again explained that he was just drunk and didn’t know what happened. With a loving heart and a broken soul Mimi accepted Henry for the second time. This was the second heartache.
The last straw was drawn when Mimi’s heart was broken for the third time. Mimi was ready to give herself but when she saw Henry in his own bedroom. If it was a girl, Mimi would willingly accept that, but it was another man. And what’s worse is that it was her own cousin. It completely shattered Mimi’s already broken heart; that was the last time Mimi would believe a Canadian and a man for the matter.

Mimi can’t take the heart ache anymore and Kyuhyun felt sorry for the poor girl.
“I’m sorry..”
Mimi shook her head and lifted a glass, Kyuhyun handed her another margarita.
“do you mind if I tell you a story.”
Mimi shook her head.
“go on..”
“I had a boyfriend back in Korea.”
Kyuhyun blushed a little and Mimi laughed a little.
“A boyfriend.. how perfect…”
“yah.. he looks a lot a girl though so no one really noticed.”
“lucky you..”
“but your cousin and your boyfriend..”
“ex-“
“oh ex-boyfriend.”
“it sucks.. I suck..”
And Mimi dropped her head with a thud and soon she was asleep.

Mimi woke up in a bed and room she didn’t recognize and a headache. She looked around and noticed her clothes were different. She feared for her life and maybe she was raped or something. She heard the doorknob turn and she grabbed the pillow to defend herself. When the person entered, she screamed out loud and threw the pillow at him.
“ouch! Calm down will yah..”
Mimi stopped screaming and stared at the person, it was Kyuhyun.
“kuaixian..”
“oh so you still remember me.”
Kyuhyun smiled and Mimi relaxed a little.
“why am i.. and..”
“relax, nothing happened.. My cousin, who happens to be a girl, changed your clothes and is now hanging to dry.”
“I’m sorry.. you should’ve taken me to a hotel or something.”
“nah.. I feel that I shouldn’t leave you in that poor condition. C’mon let’s have breakfast.”
Kyuhyun invited Mimi to breakfast and the two was soon sitting at the table and looking at the girl cooking at the kitchen.
“I think you might know my cousin.”
Kyuhyun smiled at her but Mimi was confused. Mimi’s eyes went wide when she saw the girl approached the table and handed breakfast.
“I’m sorry, what happened to you was all my fault .”
“Ryeowook?”
Mimi’s mouth hang open and Ryeowook timidly smile.
“there was no Henry and me, I already have a boyfriend. And don’t worry about Kyu taking advantage of you, he’s not like that. I changed your clothes and my cousin here slept on the couch. So no worries..”
“oh.. I see, thank you.”
“well, I’ll leave you two to talk.”
Ryeowook removed her apron and answered the door. Minutes later, she appeared before the two who were eating happily, dragging her boyfriend behind her.
“this is Yesung, my boyfriend and you already know my cousin, Kyuhyun and the pretty girl is Mimi”
“hello”
Yesung waved at the two and asked
“are you two going out?”
Kyuhyun said no but Mimi said but Mimi said yes. Yesung and Ryeowook smiled at both of them and left the two to talk about what they have right now.
“why did you say yes?”
Kyuhyun asked and mimi just smiled.
“why, you don’t want to go out with me?”
“are you asking me out on a date?’
Kyuhyun asked, clearly confused and Mimi smiled; it was a refreshing smile and if Kyuhyun had known better, as if her heart was never breaking.
“I realized that to cure a broken heart is to start another one.”
Mimi said as she took a bite of her blueberry pancakes.
“Henry loved blueberry pancakes by the way.”
Mimi smiled as she chew her food gracefully.
“last night you’re all this crying lady ready to commit suicide and now you want to go out on a date?”
Kyuhyun was so confused and was really wondering if Mimi is just drunk or something.
“are you really ok?!?!”
Kyuhyun asked but mimi only smiled.
“hey.. are you sure you’re ok?”
Kyuhyun was nervous and Mimi suddenly laughed.
“you took it seriously?!?!”
Mimi laughed and Kyuhyun looked like a relieved idiot.
“you were just joking”
Kyuhyun gloomily ate his pancakes and Mimi stopped laughing.
“do you want to go out with me Kuaixian?”
Mimi asked and Kyuhyun did not reply, but Mimi can see the tears form in his brown eyes.
“kuaixian?”
Mimi stood up and sat beside Kyuhyun, he was still unresponsive. Mimi then rested her head on Kyuhyun’s shoulder and finally she can feel Kyuhyun’s arm wrap around her tiny waist.
“is this for real Mimi?”
Mimi murmured yes and Kyuhyun smiled.
“I’d love too.. but can you wear this for me?”
Mimi looked at Kyuhyun then to the ring he’s holding, her eyes went wide and tears started to form in her eyes.
“Kuaixian? Are you proposing to me?”
Kyuhyun nodded and Mimi said yes.
It happened so fast and in the course of one night, Mimi got her heart broken and found a fiancé.
“isn’t this too fast Kuaixian?”
Mimi asked as she stares at the ring on her finger as she rested her head on Kyuhyun’s bare chest, hearing his heartbeat.
“not really, I’ve been watching you for years..”
“years Kuiaxian?”
“I was in the same party where you found Ryeowook and Henry. I was at the same club when Henry picked up heechul and when He went out with Hangeng.”
“are you my stalker?”
Mimi was a little furious and she already gave herself to someone who knew who she was but had never met him.
“no, just your average bartender.”
Kyuhyun said plainly. Mimi kissed her fiancé and smiled.
“I don’t even care if you’re my stalker or whatever, I’m just too blind to see you behind me..”
“and now you see me?”
