*pats lynn* It's OK! I told you about my best friend from primary school right! We wanted to go to the same sec sch and JC but failed, because of stupid results. We VERY rarely wrote letters, ALMOST NEVER called / SMSed, and certainly NEVER met up except for maybe 5mins at the MRT station some days. But today we still call each other best friends because we still are, and because that friendship she and I shared over 6 years still can't and hasn't been replaced.
susu's point is that you don't need to feel sad just because you're leaving them for a while. the friendship is always there.
