Practice is the key. For most people, it takes twelve days to break (or form) a new habit. I feel like the fact that it's an average and therefore not a hard-and-fast number on which all of us can rely just doesn't get brought up enough. Because it takes me ungodly amounts of time to get shit under control, especially if it's something I find scary (re: everything). That used to really eat at me, the fact that some cog in my little brain metric while the rest were clearly standard. Not so much now. It is what it is. I am who I am. Getting angry didn't change that.
That's a great idea. We should support each other. You let me know your goals and priorities and I'll send you encouraging texts. Well, assuming I remember to do it...
