Supertech is on vacation this week, so I’ve been covering her shift. So far it’s been ok; Monday was fine, Tuesday we were running around, and today went pretty well. Today was insane. The people just never stopped coming into the store, and each one had something different to complain about. They can’t write on the electronic signature pad. The heat wave has finally broken, and we’re all rather comfy at 77°F at the moment. We’re still running around half-naked and Eddie is eating freeze-pops as though they will be banned sometime tomorrow, but thankfully the animals aren’t dying of the heat/humidity any longer. I’m feeling better. Eddie brought me chicken tenders on Friday night because I was able to eat half a can of soup without tossing my cookies, but made me agree that I would not drown them in hot sauce as is my normal procedure for such food, so I ate the most bland tenders ever. Yesterday was the blessed last day of the long work week. Today was day 3 of my 6-day workweek. I’m hot, tired, my feet hurt, and I’m not sure how I’m going to make it through the rest of the week. With any luck we’ll have a lot of freaks, junkies, and losers to keep me occupied.

I’m currently listening to my itunes and attending the monthly Messengers of Death guild meeting. Can you feel my enthusiasm? Yeah, it’s palpable, I know. I’m waiting for the guild leader to stop talking so that Eddie and I can log out and snuggle on the couch and watch TV.

It’s another fun-filled afternoon at Casa McBride. We slept in a little bit, loaded and unloaded the dishwasher, and had a positively orgasmic lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches made with pepper-jack cheese and tomato soup to go with them. We picked up some food for dinner and dealt with the two old ladies working the register at Stop & Shop.
