As much as I love Cara I have to say that she was a little ungreatful.After all Kahlan did save her life.And she thanked Cara twice for her assistance.I think that maybe she starting to fall for Kahlan and she can't recognise the feeling so she is unsettled and puzzled.I don't know but update soon so I will find out ;-)

I think Cara has a foreign feeling of... interest? In Kahlan´s odd (in her eyes) behavior. She stands against everything Cara had learned and been trained for.
Sympathy? Odd! Weakness? Not acceptable...
It´s not easy for our MS to arrange with s.o. who stands in complete contradiction to what she believes in...
I hope I can manage to transfer her development in a way that feels right and true to her...

I like especially the second part of this chapter. You show Cara's puzzlement about her feelings and her atempts to figure out the Mother Confessor very well.

It is an interesting piece of information that Cara's attackers used a Mord Sith formation against her. I hope there will be an explanation in an upcoming chapter.

Haha, I know readers want to have the interactions, but it needs a bit background too to tell the story... And, oh my, there is a lot I need to tell, so, we shall have some more chapters coming, including Cara being puzzled and Kahlan being... Kahlan! LOL!...
Cross your fingers for me, for that I can update soon... (though, NaNoWriMo is waiting. I´m sure I´ll be busy in november...)

I think that Cara could have taken all of those guys down, but you made it realistic by her losing when the remaining few charge her. Oh, and I like that Cara and Kahlan save each other in this chapter. The way they are connecting by subtle and not-so-subtle expressions is also a plus.

Sorry for the late comment. I had read part of this chapter a little after you posted it, but I only just now got around to finishing it when I saw that you've posted Chapter 5.

EDITED TO ADD: I would have finished it earlier, but, as you know, I commonly get sidetracked due to busy aspects, or other aspects, of my life.

You should know by now, you´re never too late :D RL is always trying to get you sidetracked, I know... But I´m totally happy that you´re still around somehow! :)
Of course, Cara could have made it, but where´s the fun if she is not joined by Kahlan??? *grins* they just don´t know yet that they are two pieces of one coin, and one can´t be complete without the other...
How about you? Are you still working on your stories? I would so very appreciate an update for... all of them, really... I´m serious! I miss your writing...
