oh gawd, you're a huge nerd! (to quoite Joss Whedon) but that's just lovely *huggles*
oh he's evil *glares at Bespectacled Dad* very evohl. and creepy too >.< and yes, poor Mrs Bennet...
I agree, good shows today are like 40 minute movies. Especially when you look at good sci fi with all those effects. The good shows have effects and camera work that is more cinema than tv. CGI stuff is IN regular shots, it doesn't go from CGI shot to normal shot etc (I'm thinking of for example Farscape here. They tend to point that out in the commentaries XD) and stuff tends to feel epic. And I've been amazed by many of the effects in Heroes, they are really good! Like when Hiro freezes time and moves around (it's not random people trying to stand still XD It's Martini glasses frozen mid-fall. Which he saves!) And something they pointed out in a the commentary for Doctor Who's New Earth, they are filming in a cinematic way. Usually tv is filmed from left to right or right to left (depending on the genre. I so have never thought of that) and almost

Heh. One day boys will discover that nerd girls are hot, and then we will conquer the world. ;p
No, no, no, Daddy's just... misunderstood. Is all. Yes, he's doing the dirty work. Just you wait and see. *dares to dream*
You've got a point there about CGI in the show instead if intercut. (Well, they still do that on CSI and House, but yeah.) I'm particularly impressed with Heroes. Like you mentioned Hiros time freezing - whoa!
Must. Download. Commentaries. Thanks for the reminder, I had completely forgotten about those. Yay for new stuff to download. :D
Ok. Off to bed now. No, really. Goodnight, internet!
exactly, and I will get tons marriage proposals XD
ah yes, he's just doing the dirty work... wonder who is boss is
like te only cgi you would get -in- a shot would be "oooh, look it's a screen! we have an enemy ship infront of us" or something XD I think a reason we think Heroes is that awsome is that it's set now, in our world. If we get that in some regular off-world/distant future sci fi we would kinda expect it you know...
