I was expecting to be struggling for numbers this morning. Three of my guys are playing for the province and three are injured so having thirteen dressed wasn't too shabby. We had nineteen boys dressed for the game today which is excellent. Unfortunately the Yeomen only had nine. This gave us an automatic win by default so with that in the bank we loaned them four players (actually four of our better players) and played a thirteen-a-side match. We picked a team for Saturday's game against the Yeomen. We had to get some forwards to volunteer to play in the backs and then I, expert on back play that I am, got the job of trying to get them to perform like a back line.
