I've been resisting going to the pub to watch the games live on PPV for some exorbitant fee but the final is the final etc. Rumour had it that Scallywags would be really, really busy and Rumour was spot on. Well as prime minister of Britain, he is kind of in charge of England. I agree though, he can't have had much in the way of personal investment in the game. Just another state engagement as far as he's concerned I'm sure.

Yeah, it's really embarrassing when you get foreign politicians turning up at your major sporting occasions. I remember the Scottish Secretary coming to a Hampden cup final once...

The ref decision on the non-try was a heartbreak, because we really saw Cueto's foot hovering above the line.

Not a single try of the entire final except for that one, and it would have been beautiful...

No question he got his foot in the air and it was still in the air when he touched the ball down. The question is did his toe clip the chalk BEFORE he got it off the ground. I just don't know. It was an incredibly close call.

Actually, think he does know/care about rugby - he used to play it and that's why he's blind in one eye.
