Guesses of varying levels of wild:
1. Britten, Albert Herring
3. Not sure why, but I'm wondering about Wagner, Tristan und Isolde?
4. Humperdinck, Hansel and Gretel
8. Surely Maria Stuart, but I'm blanking on the composer. It wasn't Donizetti, was it?

Was immediately reminded of Tristan in 3.
Is 6 Die Entführung aus dem Serail?
Is 7 Meistersinger?
Is 2 Rosenkavalier? (Or Don Giovanni?)

All wrong (except Tristan)
6 is more medieval (though about as Oriental)
7 Natalie Dessaye in Meistersinger? Shurely shome mishtake
2 is tricky but I couldn't not have Teddy Tahu Rhodes being vampyric (not that this very mainstream opera actually has any vampires)

All correct.
1 is the recent Glyndebourne production
3 is Tristan at the Lyric in Chicago
4 is the Met's H&G with the late lamented Philip Langridge as the witch and Alice Coote and Christine Shafer as the kids
8 is indeed Donizetti's Maria Stuarda, this time last season's Canadian Opera production.
