So this is really going to sound crazy, and I know I'm going to get myself in trouble...but I have a question for all you CC creators out there.

I am really lacking in certain Maxis Match items, and I would really like to learn how to make the things I want rather than spending hours searching for if it even exists out there. I know where to find

Thank you so much! I'm going to mess around with object recolors. I'm mostly interested in objects and clothing. I need more Maxis Match prom and wedding clothes for all of my crazy events!

Here's a pack of Maxis furniture textures. For objects and clothing, I like HP's tutorials at MTS; For hair recoloring, I learned with the tutorials at GOS. Good luck!

Also, Piggi did tons of Maxis recolors, since she passed away some of her items are hosted at Blacky's Sims Zoo, but I don't think that all of them are there yet.

Here are Simgaroops retextures and here her colour actions. That way you'd only have to retexture the blonde. Then you can for the other colours, desaturate your retextured blonde and run the colour action. Or, if you don't own Photoshop who supports colour actions, go by the manual method Simgaroop also provided in the second post.

For Remi's retextures, they're here. As far as I know, no colour actions so you'd have to retexture each colour separately.

Also, if you come in trouble with retexturing hair, or using actions, you can always ask! :3 I'm not the best creator out there but I know how you're supposed to do it. xD

Thanks so much Voleste! I will give these a try. I love Simgaroops textures and I really like all my hairs to match. So I'll get lots of use out of them. Thank you bunches and if I run into any problems I'll shoot you a message!

almost everything I can do with bodyshop I learned from GoS, they've got a great section of tutorials right here..

MTS has some great beginner tutorials on recoloring items.

For items and clothing, the easiest way to start is pick something with a white texture and run some color actions over it in Photoshop. I mostly use Aelia's colors, found here.
