Harvey Dingle the Businessman
This is part 2 of the Dingle family's first week in Little Hollywick. In the last update, we met Harvey's new wife and son. Harvey Dingle also has two businesses which you will see in this update.
If you remember from the first Dingle update, Harvey's LTW is to become a Criminal Mastermind. However, the criminal career track is still locked. So instead, Harvey built a secret basement accessed only via a mysterious bookcase and hidden passage. In this secret basement lies the beginnings of his criminal empire...an underground high roller poker circuit. And he doesn't pay taxes! Muah hahahaha.
Harvey's secret poker games are not for the weak of heart. Harvey is a serious poker shark, and so are his patrons.
The game starts with Harvey and three other seedy characters of Little Hollywick. The stakes are high, and so is the tension. One of the criminals says, "We could totally go to jail for this."
After a little while, there's only 3 players left. One of the other girls says, "It's so fun being a criminal." Everyone that talks to Harvey ends up talking about crime. I'm not sure if it's because of Harvey's immense interest in crime, or if it's just the game's way of telling me that I'm on the right track making Harvey my resident crime lord.
A little while later, there's only 2 left. The girl who was worried about going to jail doesn't look too happy about losing. However, she knows not to mess with Crime Boss Harvey. Harvey looks unbothered though, he's got a game to win. Speaking of which, who do you think won?
Was there ever a doubt? Harvey is the last man standing and walks away with huge winnings. It's his game after all, and perfectly fitting that he should win. By the way, Harvey's secret poker club is currently rank 4.)
Harmony and Stephen Clock stop by to try their hand at poker. They soon find out that they are way out of their league in this poker club. They left with empty pockets and have not returned!
With his illegal winnings from his poker circuit, Harvey opens up a night club named The Zebra Room. It features a bar, dance floor, and plush seating area. Harvey has dreams of featuring live music as well, once he gets more money to purchase instruments and a stage that is.
Harvey and his Zebra Room have 3 employees: bartender Amy, DJ Cadence, and Hostess Amy (yes, another Amy). This leaves Harvey free to mingle and network with his customers.
Like Stephen Clock, for example. Stephen is a regular to The Zebra Room. Harmony has yet to show up. Harvey tells Stephen, "Listen Steve, I know you don't want to participate in my poker club again. But don't even think about being a rat and telling the police. I'd hate for things to get ugly between us."
I think it's very fitting for my aspiring Criminal Mastermind to become an evil warlock. Harvey has three bolts with the bad witch, and immediately popped up wants to become intimate with her. This doesn't look good for Keri (Harvey's wife).
Ooooo, evil Harvey.

And at home, Harvey and Keri are expecting baby number 2. Harvey says, "That's music to my ears!"
Whew, this update was longer than usual for me. But I wanted to finish up with the Dingles so that I can start on Week 2. Week 2 will bring new families, new babies, and new businesses!
