I don't have TV so this is the first time I'm watching this.

I am sincerely disgusted that I didn't even hear a whisper of this. Nobody, for the past two days has mentioned ANYTHING about it. My freedoms have been taken away and nobody gives a shit. I can't even describe how mad and sad I am.

This isn't going to make you feel much better (nor should it), but it appears that if you're a US citizen (not permenant resident, etc) your constitutional right to habeas corpus remains intact. Don't quote me on this, but if you're picked up for providing "material support" to the "enemy" you can be held as an enemy combatant, but can challenge your detainment as a US citizen.

Everyone else, not so much.

I'm sorry to say that I spoke with lawyer today at luch who informed me that this does indeed apply to US citizens.

Yeah, I've heard from other lawyers who say that citizens' rights trump. We probably won't really know until they come for us.
