I really hope I'm not speaking prematurely, but my stress level is about at 50% less than it was last year after back to school? Why? Here's why ( Read more... )

I am so happy for you, Trac! You deserved this more than anyone else. I'd love to read those journals -- when my ex h used to bring his students' journals home I'd cry. Mostly because they were inner city kids talking about seeing their dad being carted off to jail or watching people get shot or do drug deals. This will be your year! Did you get the cuckoo bananas neighbor situation sorted? I'd like to sock that family in the collective mouth!

Aw! Thanks! I hope P has a great school year too!

There's been other neighbor drama. Grr. Gabriel is going to a center now for daycare, though! :)

Yay!!!!

And I totally forgot to answer your last response to me...so I started using Young Living essential oils. I did it to try to find headache relief. I haven't (and I know why and that's a different kettle of fish), BUT I found a bunch of other things that work for other things!

YL has a blend called Stress Away. And I'll be gdamned if it doesn't work. It doesn't take the stress itself away, but it absolutely changes or stops my physical reaction to stress. My shoulders relax, my back doesn't spam, my neck isn't

OMG I HATE THE LJ APP UPDATE!!!

Anyway, I have a roller ball on the bottle itself and I roll it on as needed. Lance even found the smell intoxicating (it does smell good. Relaxing).

I also use lavender and frankincense for skin stuff - cuts, bruises, rashes, scrapes. My kids get oiled all the time :) I diffuse oils to help with house smells or to fight colds and flus...I use them to help with aches and pains.

So I like the oils. I LOVE Stress away. Love. It's been amazing.

I wrote all of that down. Where do you get your oils? Fruitful Yield? Amazon? Whole Foods?

I bought them thru a friend who uses, and sells, Young Living oils. I had tried doTerra but had a skin reaction. I'd tried some from a local store and had a sinus reaction. YL has been the only ones I can use!

So I know YL is effectively MLM or something like that. I'm not trying to make a biz out of it, I'm just truly surprised at how well they work. For YL specifically, you can buy them from me or from my friend who actually is doing it as a side business.

I know Kelly Mellen uses some oils (I don't think YL), so she can tell you where she gets hers. I know Stress away is a blend specific to YL. I need to order a new bottle and I think it's like $26? I know, sounds like a lot, and even I cringe, but it worth it to me.

Basically, I don't want you to think I'm trying to Amway you or something. I am just saying "hey this worked for me."

Gabriel's been doing ok at school. He was weepy at drop off the first few days and having meltdowns at home, but I think he's going to adjust ok! :) Hope E is doing well!

Thanks! Eli is adjusting very well. Friday Jason dropped him off and said Eli walked in and started playing right away. He did not even want to kiss or hug Jason good-bye. I think he likes his new teacher a lot.
