low cost vet care?

Does anyone know a place where I can get a cat checked and possibly treated for worms for cheap or possibly free (I know, free is highly unlikely but there's always a chance...)? I just brought in a new rescue Friday night and I think she has worms, but I don't currently have the money to go to my regular vet (and I honestly don't even know how ( Read more... )

We use McCormick Animal Hospital here in Evanston, it is a normal vet, but they're pretty inexpensive and willing to work with you... you should give them a call and see what they're willing to do for this poor baby you brought in!

I don't know of a place but I just had to say, she's beautiful! I hope you can find somewhere that'll do it for you.

PAWS does low-cost and sometimes even free vet care depending on what area of the city you live in. Only problem is there's usually a pretty long wait list... Give them a call, though. They might be more willing to help out since you brought in a foster. :)
