This is absolutely unsurprising but it still makes me miserable. I have honestly had it up to my throat with people who insist that Daley is a good mayor. Corruption is not the "cost of doing business" in Chicago. It's a cost. Period. And unfortunately it's one that comes not only directly out of the tax payer's pockets, but indirectly out of lost opportunities. Between this, the parking meters, and the weekly "look what City Hall is doing this time!" Sun Times articles, I'd say it's pretty damn well time for a revolt. Or possibly air-dropping Justice Dept. commandos in ( ... )
