Consider yourself lucky for having had Shanne for 5 years. Mine was only 3. (RIP. :D)

A computer is essential these days so it's not a luxurious use of your money. I hope that makes you feel better about the spending. :)

I am very grateful Shanne's held up this long! It's got to be some kind of miracle.

I'm trying to focus on how much I need a new computer for basically every aspect of my life and not on my bank balance, but /o\ money is hard

I completely understand regretting a purchase that you need and you don't even regret it, you just hate seeing that much money leave. I hope your new computer will be worth it so you won't regret it. :)

One day I will be able to spend money on necessities without getting weird about it!

TBH I will probably never be able to spend money without getting weird about it.

Once I actually have the computer I expect I'll feel better about it, though. <3

Congratulations on your new laptop.

This is a good buy, you have the money, you saved up, this is not buying something you don't need on credit, that you cant pay back. This is a sensible adult choice.

Also I understand, it took me nearly all day to break the security seal and unbox my last laptop. I just kept thinking this was so expensive may be i should just take it back.

Buyer's remorse is bad enough, but buyer's remorse for sensible, necessary purchases is the actual worst. Arrrgh, brains.
