Coming down with a cold, booo, and it's making me grumpy and lazy. Please don't point out that it would be hard to make me lazier than I usually am. I hate transition seasons.

Um.

Anyway.

Yesterday's dental work went okay. No more traumatic than usual.

My new love affair with Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson continues. Possibly I spent a ( Read more... )

Wait, they're making a musical of Catch Me If You Can? What? (Sorry to be all flaily at you with my lack of musical knowledge recently.)

Yes, they are! It starts previews in early March. And it had a limited Seattle run last year. And it's awesome, and it has a fabulous, fabulous cast (Aaron Tveit! Norbert Leo Butz!), and I'm really excited about it, can you tell? ♥♥

That sounds like a totally reasonable thing to be excited about. I might have to check it out too. Why are shiny new things always so shiny?

BBAJ! Don't mind me, I just required to squee when anyone else posts about the show. Because it's rare to find people who actually like it, let alone love it like I do. I've seen it three times and I have absolutely no shame. The show will definitely get some technical Tony noms, probably even win. Though I think any acting/music nominations are a stretch. BLERGH.

I am a fairly new convert to the awesomeness that is BBAJ but my love is passionate and will be sustained!

I really want it to be recognized at the Tonys, I don't much care what for. Although I think you're right, it's unlikely to garner any acting/music noms, and that makes me sad.

Though actually I think Bryce might possibly receive a Featured nom for his Henry Clay. And so he should.

He should, but given the Tony committee's track record I'm not sure he will.

I'm really eager for Bryce to get a chance to go on as Andrew; I want to see what kind of spin he'd put on the role.
