I personally think that it was Hurley who made that afterlife for everyone and Desmond was just the "constant" so to speak. I also feel that the whole passing over aspect was a choice...which is why people like Ben, Daniel and Ana Lucia didn't cross over.
And yeah, I like to think that the Lost offspring, or "The Little Losties" as my group calls them, met and became friends through the connection of their parents.
And about Aaron....was baby Aaron the afterlife form of dead adult Aaron? Because that blows...for him at least....but it did look like everyone came to this afterlife in the form that they were in when they first were on the island, which is why Sun and Jin's kid was still in vitro and Charlie Hume didn't exist at all. Or...maybe those two children just hadn't died yet to cross over....who knows!

I find your ideas intriguing and wish to subscribe to your newsletter. (Translation: I really, really like this idea.)
Agreed on passing-over-is-a-choice; I think Ben, particularly, probably spent quite a while in that afterlife 'verse making things up to Alex and Danielle.
I'm totally convinced the next-gen Lostaways made friends with each other. It is my canon and no one will change my mind!
I really, really hope baby Aaron wasn't the afterlife form of dead adult Aaron because that would suck so much for him. So in my head, baby Aaron is present in the afterlife because Aaron-as-a-baby was so important to Island!Claire&Charlie. The actual Aaron then had his own afterlife with the people who were most important to him.
Well, Jack said that it was Hurley's role to take care of people and what better way to take care of the people he loved so so much than to create this place where, once they'd died, they could live a life that would lead them to the ones they loved and lost....give them peace and a choice of redemption...even for himself

I am similarly very confused about how Boone's memory-recall. And also amused. Because, you're right, unless they threw him off a cliff or Locke threw a bunch of knives at him or something, I've no idea how they accomplished that. XD

If that makes sense.
