I was honestly shocked to see them make it, but I wasn't disappointed, despite my grudge from last year ;P W/E Philly made it too so we can all sorta squeak in unison for a bit!

Omg, right? Like, I dunno. I'm a Flyers girl, have been for a bit (well, mostly Avs but Flyers have a weird space in my heart) and we're basically known for being drunken douche canoes, but this is just getting excessive. First off I don't drink, and if I act like a douche canoe please call me on it, but seriously. The just unthinking jerkiness going on from some quadrants (honestly, some of the Mods are participating in the outright hostility) is weirding me out a little. I'm all about screaming incoherently, but . . . even if you don't like the team there's no reason to deliberately and personally bait the fans the way it's happening? I'm probably a bad hockey fan for being both sober and respectful but really, that sort of thing is getting on my nerves, too.

Omg right? I'm lucky that most people couldn't care less about the Flyers and I can sorta do my own thing, but I get the feeling it's gonna get nasty in a few months, if they make it in 7. And yeah, it's hard not to be a little 0_o at the sort of stuff going on when basically you're outnumbered by a really vocal group who is like, out for you. For sure. I mean, even I can admit - Chicago? They deserved to win games 4 and 5. They worked their asses off. Game 6? Not so much. But you know what? The team that DESERVES to win does not always win. It's not about DESERVING. It's about how the game goes. Sometimes it just happens. We got a great rebound, and Luongo didn't get it. That's life.

My friend's dad is a HUGE hockey fan. He's the one who got us (me) tickets to the Bruins/Wild game. So yesterday he's watching a recap and it's mentioning the Cancuks and Hawks and I said something that amounted to *shudder* at which point he informed me that the Hawks had actually won two, as I hadn't been able to keep up the past couple days
