*snort*

EDIT:

It's people like this who turn others away from christianity and it pisses me off. Christianity is about love, not teaching hate and intolerance.

movies, venting, youtube, harry potter

i always thought that the term "organized religion is worse than organized crime" but something like this.... organized crime is about money but what's something like this about? it's just plain scarey.

raising people to be haters in the name of God. Hate non-believers. Hate people of other beliefs.. that's what they're teaching. There's absolutely no love in those words... I don't sense any love... and it saddens me..

they're afraid that children will do seances, voo-doo, witchcraft, etc.: which in the reality is really evil & scarier than how the book describes it. Real witchcraft is not something fun at all, it's really scary (i read about those stuff in anthropology)-they use power of unknown spirits to trap and curse people they don't like and stuff. But I think they fail to communicate that. it is not the book & the stories that they should be condemning. they even claimed the author is like the devil or something, which is completely ridiculous, since children do like magical stuff & magical stories, and the book is simply making the children's "dreams" come true in the story. They're confusing the real witchcraft with children stories. It's like....., we know bears in the forest are dangerous & they can kill people, but they're condemning stories & books about bears & claimed that the author of "Goldilocks & the three bears" is evil.

yeahhh! It's like calling The Chronicles of Narnia evil because there's a witch in it... when CLEARLY there are CLEAR religious connections.
