I order a new scanner yesterday and since I was on Amazon I also ordered a set of twelve copic markers, the skin tones, and a blender marker too. So both of us will get some copics.

I also painted a Haitian girl with my paints yesterday after reading an article and I donated money for Haitian relief today.

So we are on the same page XD

That's pretty nifty! I don't have alot of skin tones in my set but I might be able to get something to work.

I need to find reference pictures for her hair because the one I had wasn't helpful with the back.

Should I have the background as the Haiti flag and the shape of the country or should I have the background as destroyed buildings?

Hmmm, I would go with the flag and country. But I guess it depends on the kind of feeling you're going for.
