The rats have been utter shites lately.

( The other morning, when I was trying to have a lie-in, I heard panicked voices downstairs... )

Well it's quite clear that the real problem here isn't the rats at all.

It's the fact that you try to have lie-ins. No more naps for you and they will stop trying to wake you up. :D

Seriously though, that is quite unfortunate. Is Kali the one causing all the holes?

Lmao yeah I'm thinking of giving up lie-ins. If it isn't the rats waking me up with their shenanigans, I just wake up naturally early and can't get back to sleep x__X

We aren't 100% sure who's causing the holes, but it's definitely somebody in that group of rats - Violet, Miley, Petunia, Frida, Florence and Kali. I suspected Petunia for a while because when I rescued her I was warned that she's a chewer, and nibble marks have appeared in the cages since we brought her home. But yesterday, after the hole was patched, I kept catching Frida nibbling at it.

I've since moved one of the chew toys over the patch to give them an alternative to widening the hole, and I'm thinking of adding extra chew toys to every corner of the cage since they seem to be the most attractive bits to chew on.

Shites, the lot of them! Cute shites, but shites nonetheless!

LOL. Well, I guess you'll just need to do some detective work to discover who the nibbler is.
