Good news! Two months, three letters and about five million phone calls since I first made my claim for Job Seeker's Allowance, they have finally confirmed that the required letter from university was received. And I haven't written anything proper since NaNo 11 either. I fear my characters may have forgotten me after all this time, and might try to stage a strike if I revisit them. Although, the other day I heard faint whispers of story plots. It gave me hope.
I might have to try that notecard method. It sounds helpful. Of course, I still haven't begun world building on my slightly built world. I said I wasn't going to write again until I did some proper world building. Looks like I'll just have to wing it again.
I'm hoping the excitement of NaNo will help me too. There's just something so exciting about a start day and the thought of thousands of people typing away on keyboards far, far away in unity.
