This is beautiful! It's something that would fit well in the Sandman universe. It may not be a happy, happy, joy, joy story, but it comes to a satisfying ending because Dean makes the choice to be with Sam. Definitely worth the Kleenexes :)

Heeee, you love all the things I was hoping you would love and PLEASE WILL YOU TALK TO ME ABOUT THIS FOREVER because the inside of Dean's head is terrifying and I made myself CRY writing the end, possibly even twice but I can't remember anymore. (ALSO *psst* if you were wondering, inside my head, Dean is batshit insane by the end. Like. Maybe all the trees are people and he never knew, you know? But also I love the ambiguity. I mean, someone has to know the truth and it might as well be me, but I loved writing this so much. :D)
