If there's a patron saint of protection from guild drama, I'm burning a candle to him now.

Arg. My guild in WoW is dying, and I don't know how to fix it. GM's got RL aggro and has essentially been phoning it in for the past few months. We transitioned from being a raiding guild to being a social guild in an attempt to lower drama levels (after a few months of hell due to a vicious, verbally abusive raider who ran a lot of good people ( Read more... )

Much luck to you with the Guild. My own raiding guild just narrowly avoided exploding recently, so I hear you. We solved it by devolving into 10-man groups who could actually stand each other. (not much help for your situation, I know.)

And, you must write that fic. *nods seriously* pun-porn needs to be written. Particularly about Koltira/Thassarian. *^_____^*

That's the other problem. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm a pretty damn good raider - to the point that ex-guildies who have joined hardcore raiding guilds contact me as their pocket RDPS on the rare occasions that they need one. I don't miss the drama, but I do miss raiding. Badly. And I can't app for any of the raiding guilds on the server because of 1) loyalty issues and 2) time constraints. I know a lot of people hate it, but for me the raid finder can't get here soon enough. I hate pugging as it is now, largely because I know most of the guys who frequently organize PUG raids on my server and all but about three of them are douchebags.

GM's also an amazeballs shammy heals and his talent's being squandered, IMHO.

Oh gods, I know your pain. We broke up a 3-year raid team because of personality conflicts and people dropping WoW. But we're happier now even after a late start raiding this expac and killing bosses (got Rags kill #2 last week), so we're doing better than we were in Wrath.

I watched my Hub fill in as tank on the "old" raid team this Monday and it was... painful. How do they not get standing in fire is bad? Or understand boss mechanics on Rhyolith? D:

I like the idea of the more developed raid finder too, for my alts I don't have (or want to have) in guild. It's a great idea and a big help for people in your situation, in particular. I know the douchey-pugs are there on my server too... get one every time BH comes up. ugh. >_>;

Hells, gurl, I'd take you on my team if we had a spot! We always need rdps who doesn't prematurely ejaculate or stand in bad. ^_~

During my first Shannox kill, I was with a pug and I casually mentioned I'd never done this before - seen videos, but not actually done. The other hunter is like "Just follow me, it'll be cool." Of course, he died in the first minute of the fight. Guess who was top DPS and lived to the end of the fight without serious derpage? This bitch ( ... )
