You may want to bring the Red Dress Of Doom. I know they are having some sort of formal Oscar Party, and am unsure when Pres Ball will occur. Of course, my philosophy is that its better to have something and not use it then to leave and wish you had it (on the other hand, you have seen what state my room is usually in as a result of this...)

Also, I believe Melby now has wireless, but am not 100% sure.

To add to this, from what I remember you still have a couple things that I loaned you last year, namely: Chasing Amy on DVD, a white button down shirt, and Monstrous Regiment. I wouldn't mind having those back, if you know where they are (meaning an exhaustive search is not absolutely necessary if you don't).

The *only* reason to bring the red dress of doom is for Prez Ball; I have another fancy dress that I can bring other than that, and that one is much easier to dress up or down.

All the dorms have wireless, but they don't want you using it in your room all the time because the wireless connection is slow and its gets even slower whden the traffic is heavy. Trust me - ethernet is MUCH better.

And . . . condoms? Anything you want to tell me about, hun?

Well, I have them, and it can't hurt to be prepared, but it's *so* unlikely that I'll need them that I'm wondering if it's even worth bringing them.

Also, that's good to know about the wireless. *plans to bring the ethernet cable*

Hey roomie. Prez Ball is April 14th, so after spring break. As far as lamps, I have one that is a 3-level uplight plus desk lamp type thing, but you might want your own desk lamp... maybe? Mellby does have wireless, and it's about 99.8% reliable, although I also have the Ethernet cord (something like $16 from the bookstore). Also, if you're not against using cheap plastic plates, don't bring any! I have lots. Also, how do you feel about bunking the beds? We could have a whole wall free for chairs/couch/fridge/bookshelves/whatever if we did that. Something about which to think. Can't wait to see you!

Bunking beds sounds awesome, since there really isn't a whole lot of room in there. (Well, okay, there is, but it's badly distributed.) I wonder... Could we bunk one low and have it going long-ways, and the other one high and it going across? That way we could walk (and our taller friends could duck) through into the second section. (Or we could have the second section be the private area, and the first be the public area? I dunno, I'm just brainstorming, here.) I do prefer being on the bottom bunk, because a) I sleep very heavily and get up early, so you climbing over my head wouldn't disturb me, but I'd be likely to disturb you, b) I have a well-documented affinity for caves, and c) I'm lazy.

I will be bringing my more compressible lamp (I'm pretty sure I made that word up), which is very pink and not very bright, but more than enough to read by if I'm right under it. And I'm not against using cheap plastic plates any more than I am using cheap plastic forks, etc.!

Hmmm... I think I like the bunking idea, but one problem: I also want to be on bottom, cuz I'm lazy too. We'll have to check it out. I could possibly be convinced to take the top... let's wait and see. Oh, and "roomie" is fine. =)

Oh, and another thing: Luke left us a bunch of food-- pasta, olive oil, spices, cake mix, flour, and probably some other things too. I'm not sure if he will want them back or not, but there ya go.

As to the condoms: I bought them a while ago when I was in a sexual relationship, and since it ended, I still have most of a large package. Since I have them anyway, I might as well take them, but it's *so* unlikely I'm wondering if I should bother.

Ahhh, so you WILL be there! Cool! I actually won't be out for very long, but when I get in on the 21st maybe we can hang in the cities if you aren't too busy. And if not, during the anime con I'm sure I can take time to catch the shuttle to the mall of awesome during that weekend!
