How do you report a poem? Ahaha. I just received a text from my prof (I think) that I have to report on "Sa Kabataang Pilipino" by Rizal for my P.I 100 class on Monday.. And I don't know what to do.T_T Do I interpret the poem?? Or is the history/background of the poem more important? Gads.. I know nothing on poetry.T_T Can somebody help please..

History/background + meaning of poem. You can relate the meaning of the poem with why it was made, for whom it was made blah blah blah, kung ano yung significance niya sa time period na yun at sa ngayon blah blah.

I think mas maganda kung i-explain mo yung context ng poem. Kung kailan sinulat, anong situation, at ano ba yung nangyayari sa buhay ni Rizal nung mga oras na yun.

Exactly. A report also includes historical/social or whatever background of a poem.

Important questions:

Framework:

Why did the author write it?
What inspired it?
Whom/What did he dedicate it to?

Form:

How did the author write it? What form or writing style did he use? Why did he use that form?
There are actually some fixed forms on how to write poems. Also the form can tell about its intent. It's best to be informed about them.

Content:

What metaphers did he use? What do/could they mean in your opinion and why? This question is often connected with the historical/social background.

What styles did he use? Like alliterations (three words begin the same: A...a...a...) etc. Why did he use them?

Etc... or less. Sorry, I can't speak your language ;)
