I feel so guilty.

I just told Dr.Cowden that I am not a bio major anymore, after she just said what an awesome combination English and Biology are and how I'll write great science papers. She looked so sad ( Read more... )

Can you still minor in bio? Even a small focus would be good, but only if that's what you really want. If you're having to take that many credit hours for another major..yikes. O.o;;;

Yes, I am an English major with a Bio minor and a French minor. I would have to take 23-odd credits per semester if I were to double major, minus the other minor, which is why I am not doing it.

Biology is a ridiculous 60 credit major, plus at least 8 hours that you unofficially have to take to get into graduate school. If it was somewhat smaller (ie, reasonable), then I would have double-majored.

I just feel bad around my science professors because I'm sure that they think I should be a Bio major instead--and Dr.Cowden had just spent ten minutes talking about why the English program here is designed illogically, though she did say that I am "more sophisticated" than most of the others.

Work is bad. I completely support you dropping this ridiculous major.

Unofficially I have, but I've been too lazy for the past five months to go change it at the registrar's office. To be fair, when I do go, they tend to fuck it up and I have to get them to fix whatever they failed at twice.
