I have really got to stop showing mum my new DS games. She is now addicted to Polarium and is sitting in a corner oblivious to everything around her. >.< They really know how to churn out the addictive games ( Read more... )

Ya know, I never played any of the Castlevania games past Symphony of the Night. It was the best, IMO, and I couldn't help but feel that anything that came after, wouldn't be as good. That I'd be disappointed somehow. Of course, there was the fact that I didn't have any of the systems that could play any of the follow-on games. >_>

And I dunno. I kinda like the anima style. But really, both styles look fine. I'm one of the few that liked the look and voices of the SotN characters, after all.

What system is this new castlevania coming out on?

Its on the Nintendo DS, Aria of Sorrow which is what the first bit of art was from is on the GBA.
I really prefer the Old art, as much as I like anime I just prefer the Old style art so much more. It looks infinitely more Elegant and more what I would associated with Vampires. Kinda like the old Vampire Hunter D verses Blood lust.. The style darker style just suits it more.
Maybe I'm biased >.>;; I just don't like how "Fluffy" Soma looks now.

Ooo and about Soth it rocked, Aria of Sorrow and the New DS one(the ones featuring Soma) Pretty much have the same sprites and enemies as Soth. They aren't as long but I still enjoyed them.
As for one of the few who liked the voices and style of Soth you are aware that its classed as the best Castlevania by loads of people, not just yourself so I don't think your alone in the liking of it :3

Haha, hey sweetie, guess what? Ttory was sculpted by Rainman too :D As were Nara and Bomi, my next two Luts kids :D <3 Rainman!

And Dean is soooo wonderful! A couple of people on my friends list have (or had) Dean. Mmm... nikittin_dolls (who just sold her boy's Dean 'shell' for a Volks body), and Bwiel on DoA, who is last_dreamers. She's in Birmingham, as well :D (Wait no, I just checked her lj user info and she doesn't have Dean anymore. I'm pretty sure she had him, but I know she's fallen in love with the minis completely now. They're still all Dollmore, though :D ( ... )

Heehee! I've been hooked to Castlevania since I played the first one on the NES. The only disappointment was the one on the N64, the rest absorbed me. Ayami Kojima's work makes me drool. As does Amano's work. They're true artists.

I am looking forward to Mario Kart on the DS. And Castlevania, Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon! They kept us waiting for a while, but it seems there are gonna be some good games released! \o/

I havent had the misfortune of playing the N64 one, I heard that it was considered the worst and steered clear.
I totally agree with the true artists statement. It really was a shame to see Ayami pushed aside for the anime art instead >.<

I totally forgot about Mario Cart O.O How could I? *slaps head*
Hurray for Nintendo! and their lack of games at the DS realize and then the realizing of loads of good games in a line so they bankrupt me. -.- ... >.> YAYS!
