My doctor said he'd never had a patient hand him a flash drive with a spreadsheet of their blood pressure log before.  Well he TOLD me to take it every day and keep a record of it, how was I supposed to do it? Good news: diuretic is working and I won't need a beta blocker.  More good news: I might be old, but I'm still cool.

What do you use to take it?

When the ZK was first hospitalized, he was supposed to be doing the breathing thing 6 times an hour, so he set his phone to go off every 10 minutes so he could do it. The nurses thought that this was HILARIOUS!
Compliance, apparently, is to laugh!

Glad there's no need for a beta blocker. I'm sitting on my hands re: you and the need for diuretics.

I purchased a home-use sphygmomenometer last fall for $75. It has a memory and everything. We calibrated it against the doc's and the readings were comparable. I've actually been taking hydrochlorothiazide, the diuretic, for more than four years, and I don't find any change in my, erm, bladder issues. Compliance in general is not the norm, my RN sis-in-law agrees. Apparently it's very rare to actually follow through on one's physical therapy as well.
