It wasn't actually that spicy (to me anyway). I put a whole minced habanero in (for two large potatoes worth), and the potatoes absorbed the heat quite well.

The cole slaw was really good too!

1/2 head shredded cabbage
2 shredded carrots
2 stalks chopped celery
1/2 chopped red bell pepper (omitted)
1 T. minced onions (suposed to be red, but I used yellow-brown)

sauce:
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tsp brown mustard
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
black pepper
Tabasco sauce to taste
red pepper flakes

1/4 cup vegetable oil

a few strips thin crisp bacon, crumbled.

So you prepare all the veggies, arranging in layers in a bowl. Then then mix the sauce ingredients (excpet oil) allowing everything to dissolve, and then pour over the veggies. Next, heat the oil in a small fry/sauce pan until just smoking/rippling, then drizzle hot oil over everything, in particular the onions. Let sit for a few minutes, then toss and refrigerate to chill. Toss in bacon just before serving. DELISH!
