ilona andrews is one of my all time favorite authors. are you a member of the BDH? (Book Devouring Hoard - what the fans call themselves on the authors' blog)
i highly recommend signing up for their newsletter which will let you know when a new blog post is up. occasionally there are free snippets of stories. they let you know when new releases are coming out. sometimes they post a book as a free online weekly serial before publishing. the most recent novella 'sanctuary' was shared week by week free online. and when traditional audio books or graphic audio books are up for presale, they share sound bites of the narration of popular scenes. i often lose time reading all the comments from the BDH on their blog posts. sometimes theories about plots and characters are bandied about. there have been a few (extremely long) posts with everyone recommending their favorite books or new shows to watch, and i've gotten a bunch of great suggestions. some posts are from Ilona herself, some are from Mod R who is a full-time moderator hired by ilona and gordon to keep the BDH reigned in and remind us to be patient. and because 'wait' is a dirty four letter word, its often spelled with an
