Yes, well, it isn't so much the fact that codes are free as it is the fact that some of my friends don't want LJs. They have DJs or Xangas or whatever else you can get and they don't feel like switching.

yanno if anything else, you could just make an LJ account for -all- of them called vessas_friends or whatnot and lock it to that LJ so they could all use that to check.
