This is a real question, so answer if you have anything to say. I know its funny... but i'm really posing the question.

Are "The Little Mermaid" and "The Prince and the Pauper" essentially the same story? Obviously there are differences, but is the basic plot message the same similar?

How so? Elaborate for me. They were written by different authors, but perhaps some of the morals behind them are the same. But isn't that how it is with much children's literature? Give me your thoughts :)

No because the Prince and the Pauper teaches that there is a middle ground between being rich and being poor. Or more importantly "the grass is always greener on the other side but that means a lot more work on that grass so you should work up to that level slowly" while The Little Mermaid s more along the lines of being human is awesome, especially if you get the guy. Or otherwise that your voice is very important to who you are (feminism!). This is based off of the disney movies I've seen.
