But I also agree with the points you made as well.
It's funny, though, because what prom has become in the modern day and age is just a reflection of our culture and the emphasis we place on consumerism and flashiness. Everything is just over the top, nowadays. It's bizarre.
It's also funny to even look back on, now that I'm in a place that is so, so, so different from anything I experienced at good ol' MHS.

i left jr prom an hour into it
i stayed a bit longer at sr prom mostly cause there were good people and there was an area away from the main party room that was pretty empty. but, yeah, people make prom the be all and end all of their high school lives. especially the freshman who make it there goal to go to prom with a senior every year.
by the way- i had a dream last night and i don't remember what it was about, but i remember walking down some street and i was like "chase?" and you were like, "omg mollie gash!" but that's all i remember. so, basically, we need to see each other soon.
