Something Deep Inside - Chapter 10
KiBum sighed as he opens the door to the dressing room. The tennis club were informed through email by the management that there is a pipe problem occured at their dressing room which serves the best time to replace a new water tank, so all of them were to be place to the nearest clubhouse, the basketball club. They were also told about the limited lockers so they might have to share. KiBum was a little late when he read the message so he was left with no choice but to share locker with someone who occupied the number 'L512'. He can only hope it's not ChangMin.
He should have pray harder because there, right now, he stood right in front of the locker of none other than Shim ChangMin.
"Oh...no" KiBum cried, almost sounds like whining.
Staring at the number, replaying that moment in his head over and over, made KiBum hate himself even more than he had before. The last few days had been hell. SungMin had all but right out almost punched him in the face. KyuHyun had acted like the disappointed but supportive friend that can't understand why someone would do something so stupid. JaeJoong had been the most helpful, other than JunSu.
After the outburst, KiBum sat on the floor in his pitch black room, cried all night and the day after, even this morning. Now, come to think of it, he regretted. He didn't know what he was doing when he peeped on ChangMin to see the latter doing just fine. He was dissapointed and confused. Isn't that what he wanted? Then, why....gosh...he didn't know what came over him. All he knew was it had something to do with him being scared. But he couldn't remember what he was afraid of.
He stood there thinking for a good 5 minutes, finally decided to just leave to the tennis court. Before he could exit the room with the huge bag in hand, ChangMin walks in.
'Oh God!!! Why?' KiBum silently cursed.
Like KiBum, ChangMin feels pretty much like how KiBum felt. Like sh*t. He's good in hiding them from being too obvious. He walks a few slow paces as KiBum, stood at a comfortable distance yet not as comfortable as they were before.
"Hello" KiBum greets him with a bow.
ChangMin didn't quite know how to react so he didn't stay anything but giving him a nod and a small smile. He looks at the boy before him in his tennis attire The short pants showing his legs were so hmm...then he noticed a paper in his hand with his locker number on it, he realised that must be the reason KiBum can't seem to stop fidgeting.
He wanted to ask or say something but then remembers KiBum's outburst the other day telling him not to do anything so he didn't. He stops at his locker, unlocked and gathered his things then steps away to let KiBum have it. "You can take my locker. I can crash in with someone"
"But he also has -"
"I'll exchange with him" ChangMin cuts in then offers him the key.
"Thank you, ChangMin -" KiBum bowed then quickly added "-sshi"
"You're welcome" ChangMin showed a bitter smile. Then, he suddenly thought of something. His hand search for something inside his bag and grabbed a rectangular box out. The box YunHo wants him to pass it to KiBum, told it's from his ex-roomie. "Oh...and um...SungMin-hyung said to give this to you"
"Thank you" KiBum gazes at it, then up at him before reaching out to take the box.
"Well, I -" ChangMin was about to leave this awkward moment when KiBum stops him as he thought of an envelope a girl asked him to send to ChangMin this morning.
"Wait! Um...a girl wanted me to pass this to you" KiBum hands the letter to ChangMin who had his brow raised.
"A girl?" ChangMin read the cover, it says: 'For Your Eyes Only'.
"Mmm.." KiBum nodded, didn't dare to look up.
"Thanks" ChangMin said, expecting KiBum to look at him.
When he did, their eyes connect for a brief, awful moment before they continue on their respective ways.

YunHo's brain was buzzing. Here he was hiding in one of the huge lockers with JaeJoong, someone who had been his Cupid partner for a day now. They were hiding quietly with their bodies pressed together, watching and listening to KiBum and ChangMin being awkward around each other. YunHo hadn't really been paying attention to their Cupid mission.
Though he had been with Ann for two months now, she didn't really know him. They didn't share meaningful conversations about their lives. They hardly talked. All she wants is sex which YunHo wouldn't want to give in. Being with Ann is so boring and sometimes even awkward.
Then there was JaeJoong. YunHo couldn't stop thinking about him. They knew each other for just a week yet the second YunHo spent a shred of time with JaeJoong, it seemed like he couldn't get him out of his mind. They hung out, done things friends would do (maybe except for this), YunHo finds himself very comfortable being around JaeJoong.
So comfortable JaeJoong apparently thought it was okay to just grabbed a bite on YunHo's sandwich yesterday when they were planning for today. Not that they hadn't shared food before. Sometimes YunHo's eyes would be bigger than his stomach and he'd give JaeJoong whatever he couldn't finish. They had mixed up their coffees occasionally too. So that wasn't weird......right?
"Yo! They're gone" JaeJoong slapped his face lightly, opens the locker door and jumps out of there. "It's so hot in there!"
"What? You expect an air-condition in there?" YunHo quickly think of a counter.
"Did you see that?" JaeJoong giggles. "They just fell into our little trap"
Their little Cupid Mission One was to have ChangMin's little IPod wrapped and placed in a box and have ChangMin himself delivered them. As for the letter, SungMin dropped by one day when he found out about the misunderstandings between the two. When JaeJoong told him about the plan, SungMin joined in, telling him something about the letters KiBum wrote for ChangMin but never send. They went through his desk when KiBum was out to class and found the letter. Again, JaeJoong slid the paper in an envelope and had a girl sent it to KiBum so that the boy get the letter delivered himself.
"What a perfect plan!" JaeJoong does a little clapping for himself.
"Um...yeah!" YunHo simply nods. He didn't really know what was going on.
"So, what were you thinking?" JaeJoong wipes sweat off YunHo forehead with the back of his hand. "You're sweating!"
"Um..." YunHo takes a few steps back, feeling awkward. "Let's leave to our club meetings"
"Okay. See you around" JaeJoong left feeling really happy because his plan worked.
Leaving YunHo felt rather uncomfortable and confused.

YooChun took a day off from his ice hockey practice to nurse JunSu after finding out from JaeJoong that his brother is sick in bed with a huge cold. JaeJoong came over this morning to inform them about his cupid mission which YooChun didn't want to be a part of, so he voluntered to cook soup and take care of JunSu himself, until JaeJoong comes back from whatever he wants to do. Plus, it was his fault to have had pull JunSu to sleep with him that night.
YooChun took out the key from his pocket, the key which JaeJoong gave him so that he wouldn't have to wake JunSu up just so that he could come in. He walks in, shutting the door behind him softly and placed the soup thermos on the kitchen table. He took another two minutes to view the interior of the apartment. There were not much difference with the one he lives in, just the furnitures seem to look more comfortable.
He strained his ears as he took a few steps forward to the hall, trying to listen to anything to sense the presence of the sick boy without having to barge into other people's room to check. He stopped in front of the bathroom door, he knows because the structure is the same as his apartment and the sound of flowing water from the shower.
JunSu sits in the bathtub with the warmth from the shower hitting his cold body. He wipes the nose that just wouldn't stop leaking, which made him think that maybe his brain had boiled from his fever and now dripping from his nasal passage.
If that wasn't bad enough, the stomach churning is. The problem was the feeling of it lunged upwards without warning. Even that wasn't the worse part, because barfing would be fine if it didn't always end up going through his nose and making the leaking worse, and leave a burning unclean gross aftertaste behind.
He got up after getiing enough of the warm water. How long could he possibly stay in here anyway? He took the towel, dries himself and then cover himself with another dry ones, wearing his boxers and opened the door.
JunSu's stomach gave a worrisome heave but nothing came up, luckily. Wrapping his towel tighter around himself and quickly making sure his naked skin was all covered up. It wasn't his fault he was too cold for clothing. Not just in the sexual sense either, the fever was hell and despite logically knowing he should be bundled up, he had opted for nudity.
And now, he's starting to regret as he meets YooChun's shocked expression with a very deep red blush on his cheek. The latter cleared his throat, focused back to the problem in hand.
"What are you doing taking a shower at this time?"
"It's c'old. W'hy ae' you he'e? H'ow i'd you ge't in? (It's cold. Why are you here? How did you get in?)" JunSu asked, obviously shocked to see someone other than hisroomies here. If it wasn't for the fact that he is sick, the redden cheek would have been more visible.
"Don't mind me! Go put on more clothes before you catch a cold!"
JunSu snorted at him unsuccessfully as he plucks out a piece from the tissue box and blew his nose.
"Well, BIGGER cold!"
Sighing, JunSu kinds of wiggle-hopped back to his room, his arms in his not so big towel, clamping it closed tightly in front of him and walking like a penguin.
Only when the door closed, did YooChun began to think properly, the necklace around his neck. It looked rather familiar. He shrugs it off and slaps his warm face. He walks back to the kitchen, taking just one bowl down from the cupboard then, filled it up with what he figured it'd able to handle and stuck it in the microwave to heat it.
JunSu walked out from his room with warmer clothes and a huge blanket when YooChun stopped him from coming out. "Go back to your room"
"W'y? (Why?)"
"I have strict orders from your brother to serve you soup and make you sit down and rest” YooChun opens the room door, ushers him to sit on his bed. "Don't go anyway. I'll be back with your soup"
JunSu pouted but it didn't last long as he sneezed yet again.
YooChun quickly walks out when the beeping from the microwave alerted him. He came in with a bowl of chicken noodles soup he made this morning. He placed in nicely on the bedside table, took a seat on the chair. He scoops a spoonful, blew it then stops in front of JunSu's mouth.
JunSu was perplexed.
"Quick, open up your mouth"
"I 'an e't i't my'elf. (I can eat it myself)" JunSu reached out for the bowl but YooChun pulls it away from him.
"Stop being stubborn! What if you start to sneeze again?" YooChun used motherly tone which obviously failed miserably but in JunSu's opinion, he's actually quite cute. "Be a good boy now. Say 'aaaahhhh'"
JunSu opens his mouth and when the spoon was half way in, he closed it again, slurping at the same time.
"How is it?"
" -ood. (Good)" JunSu nodded.
"You are forbidden to talk" YooChun chuckled then scoops another spoonful. "Now, come on. One more time"
Time seemed to stop for the two. YooChun was obviously delighted, muttering out little things about the failed experiments he has had experience during one of those in engineering lab just to make sure JunSu wouldn't talk, sometimes changed the topic to more cheerful ones to avoid the boy from falling asleep before finishing his soup.
Twenty minutes later, JunSu finished the soup, and hoping everything stayed inside, he blinked when YooChun held out two capsules of medicine for him and a glass of water. He swallowed them and sat on the edge of his bed as ordered by his 'nurse' to wait for the medicine to take effect as YooChun minds himself in the kitchen.
Out of boredom, JunSu took out the necklace from inside his shirt and plays with it.
YooChun walks in just in time to see the necklace. His beloved necklace he thought he lost. He rushed to grab a hold of the locket which frightens JunSu. He caressed it, he's sure that the locket belongs to him. His eyes went back and forth from JunSu to the locket for several times.
"You have a beautiful necklace there"
"I's 'ot 'ine. I 'ound i't. (It's not mine. I found it)" JunSu slid the locket back inside his shirt.
YooChun smiled after that, knowing he didn't lose it, it was around JunSu's neck all this time. He didn't know why but he feels happy. He sat down beside JunSu as his eyes stares at the sick boy.
Not long after that, JunSu sort of lost track of himself and got a bit dopey. Yawning widely, he didn't even notice when he tilted over, ending up on YooChun's shoulder.
Nor did YooChun when he had JunSu half covered with the blanket and curled himself up beside him, holding JunSu's slighter frame. It felt nice though, warm and comfortable. He wasn't even really sure when he fell asleep.
JunSu did remember waking up in the middle of the day and being curled up on YooChun's chest as the latter lay on his back, snoring just softly and holding JunSu tightly to himself.
