Anticipated Love - Chapter 3

Sunday morning comes rather fast, YooChun, with his hair still dripping from the morning shower, disappears behind the wardrobe but his out of tone singing is were heard all around his apartment.

"I cant live without you by my side
I can talk to you all day long
Its with you that I confide
You're the reason for my happy song"

YooChun swings his wardrobe door shut before picking up his dirty clothes from last night. As he picks up his trousers, the beer mat with SungMin's phone number on from last night falls onto the floor. Unsure what the number is YooChun picks it up and studies it.

"SungMin"

Thinking he isn't as desperate he was last night, YooChun places the mat on his desk and marches his way to the kitchen. He grabs a bowl and of cereal and places them on the kitchen table before taking the milk out of the fridge. He sits down at the table and begins eating away, submissively staring at the telephone.

He isn't desperate. He isn't desperate. He isn't desperate. He isn't desperate. He is not desperate. He is not desperate. He is not .....desperate. He is n....ot desperate....... He is t desperate. He is ........desperate.

"Ahh...what the hell"

YooChun grabs the cordless phone and takes the beer mat out, takes a deep breaths and begins pressing the numbers with his slightly shaky fingers.

"82-2-7958? 3? Must be an eight. 4, 6"

YooChun perches himself against the breakfast table. Once it got through, his heart beats like no other....

"Hello?"

"Are you SungMin?"

"SungMin? Who's that?"

"Umm...I'm not sure, sorry. I think I must have the wrong number" YooChun said and quickly hangs up.

The other line, got the other man stunned with the sudden hung up. He hangs up and receives another call almost immediately, he picks up. "Dae, Kim JunSu imnida..."

Back to the other side, YooChun rubs his hands against his t-shirt one after the other then sets out redialing the number with a three instead of an eight.

"Hiya, is this SungMin?"

"Yes, who's that please?"

"It's YooChun. This is quite embarrassing but my mate spoke to you last night in Blue for me. I was, erm, just wondering if you fancied going for something to eat tonight?"

"You don’t waste your time. But yes, I’d love to" SungMin's giggled a little. "Where are you going to take me?"

"How does Ulanio sound?"

"That’d be lovely. See you there at eight. Bye"

YooChun takes the phone away from his ear and looks at it as if bewildered as to why he hung up so soon. He forges a smile and looks out of the window to see the rain lashing down, but manages to keep the smile on his face and he disappears through the kitchen door.

At exactly 8, YooChun sat him besides the bar sipping at a glass of wine, as SungMin walks into the picture and over to YooChun. He is wearing a hilariously pink outfit with enormous sparklings on the outfit from head to toe.

"Hi YooChun?"

Trying to keep his eyes straight from blinking all the time. "Hi there, how are you?"

"Not too bad, thanks. Cold outside though" SungMin said, taking out his silky smooth pink coat which YooChun is thankful for he has a white shirt top.

"Yeah I know. Not been the warmest this week has it?"

"Not really no" SungMin smiled.

"Shall we get a table?" YooChun beckoned over the porter who limps over slowly and agonisingly painfully.

"Table for two?" The porter asked.

YooChun looks up to see the man, his eyes grow big as he recognises the man. "HeeChul?"

"Yes, YooChun"

"What happen to you?"

SungMin looks surprised. "You two know each other?"

YooChun nods. "He's the window cleaner"

"Was" HeeChul corrected. "I quit after slipping off"

"Is that what happened?" YooChun refered to the limping.

"Yes" HeeChul nodded, peeks to his supervisor who is giving him a stern look. "I'm working, YooChun. Now, table for two?"

"Yes, please" YooChun nodded.

"Smoking or non-smoking?" HeeChul asked, rubbing his eyes from the little pinky.

Before YooChun gets to say anything, SungMin interrupts. "Smoking. You don't mind that, do you Chunnie?"

YooChun looks shocked at being called by his pet name, the name JunSu used to call him but nods anyway.

HeeChul smiles. "Follow me please"

YooChun and SungMin walk behind HeeChul who continues to limp, grunting after each individual step. After a slow journey over to the corner situated table both sit down.

YooChun picks up the menu as SungMin leans over to the empty table next to them and pinches the menu, not realising there is another one on their table. They both shuffle through their menus as the two sit through a nervous silence.

"The steak is meant to be nice here" YooChun recommended.

"I think I’m just going to have something simple. Had a big dinner at my mums"

Putting his menu down on the table, YooChun asks. "So what you having?"

"Think I might just have baked potato and salad, and then a dessert. You?"

"The steak. You sure that will fill you?" YooChun asked, puzzled.

"Yeh, that will be fine. I’m not really a big eater" SungMin waved his hand for a waiter.

HeeChul appears instead and YooChun has to wonder where the other staff go. "Are you ready to order?"

"Yes, can I have the steak, medium rare with the salad please?" YooChun ordered.

"I’ll have the lasagne"

Scribbling the order on his pad, HeeChul asks again. "And drinks?"

"A bottle of good red wine please"

YooChun looks bemused as SungMin takes control but a glint in his eye as he seductively smiles at him soon wins him over. "That is ok isn’t it?"

"Sure" YooChun nodded.

HeeChul scribbles down the rest and limps off into the distance. All the way to the kitchen, his grunt and irritatedness were replaced with a smile.
