Well, we're back from Luxembourg. Went to the American cemetery there and saw Patton's grave. We then went into Luxembourg and toured the city center. They had a nice Kriskringlemarkt going on, so I tried some gluhwein (mulled red wine). It was okay, but I can't say I'm a fan. We have arrived safely in Germany. We spent the day traveling from Frankfurt to Spangdalem taking photos and driving next to the Mosel river. Trying to take lots of photos.

I am going to be going to Germany on Friday for a week. Our itinerary involves Trier, Frankfurt, Nuremburg, and Berlin.

Does anyone have any good destinations to visit anywhere in those areas? I'm certain we'll be doing the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Friday - needed to take a half day in order to head down to the DMV to get my shiny new DC driver's license. Went to Georgetown and was surprised at how efficient and nice the people were. Big difference from my Virginia experiences ( Read more... )

Saturday - had friends over for some WoD geekery. I think the game went well, having gotten positive feedback from the players. Later that night, Alison and I went down to Spellbound to see BlindTillNow perform. That was an amazing show. Carolyn's voice and the new songs were just awesome.
