Thanks for reading! Will readings always make me want to stick it to greedy relatives. I wasn't even going to write about a reading, but I wasn't inspired to write about a car (the first thing that popped into my head after seeing the challenge word).
Felicia is awful. I sort of have a picture of her in my mind from your descriptions and I just keep seeing that smug look replaced by shock when she realizes she traded away her father's fortune. Karma.
I knew it! The plain and simple pendant had to be worth more than what that money grbbing leech received. Her father was very astute and knew his daughter well. Good job writing this.
Felicia sounds like a thoroughly spoilt child who grew up into a grasping shallow adult. I have to wonder how much parenting Emory did when she was a child. She certainly wasn't taught the meaning of the word 'no' and she wants instant gratification. I have to believe that Emory didn't raise her because he sounds like a nice and crafty man.
You're probably right. If I did a Felicia character sketch, she would have been raised by a mother who taught her a lot about greed. The mother would probably use Felicia as some sort of pawn to get her way. Though she would be a product of her environment, I also think personality plays a lot into this.
I had a feeling that would happen. Characters are interesting and I hope you do more character sketches of them, Felicia in particular. The woman is a greedy, classless bitch, but I'd like to know more about her. Does that seem weird to you?
Not at all. Exploring the history of "despised" characters is part of the fun of writing them. I don't know if I will add more to this ficlet, but I think I could write a character sketch. Thanks for reading and for the suggestion, Ash!
