Halloween 2011

Oct 31, 2011 20:32

Happy Halloween to those of you who are celebrating it today! The trick-or-treaters have been coming to the door in droves seemingly every five minutes or so and I am rapidly going through my ginormous stockpile of candy. I'm sitting by the door typing this on my tablet while listening for my Halloween motion detector. The bag lights flicker when ( Read more... )

Eeee! I've missed you and posting and my daily doses of LJ. Work pretty much took over my life when I got back from vacation, but things are considerably better now.

I'm just glad I had an extra strip. It would have been so disappointing not to have lights for the kids.

Halloween sounds amazing there! I wish I lived over there so that would be able to celebrate it the way you do! I would buy plenty of candies too for trick-or-treaters!!! :)
Here we don't really celebrate it, not the way you do anyway. Since Nov 1st is a bank holiday people go dancing in the night. That's all about Halloween here. Not all the fun you are used to...

Btw, welcome back on LJ, missed you! I also haven't been much around lately, but hopefully will catch up on my LJ entries soon and plan on going back to regular posting also! :) So we'll just meet around here sometimes soon again, I guess.

Dancing is fun though! I hope you were able to go out and I hope you enjoyed your day off.

I've missed you too. I try not to let it go for too long between postings, but the last few weeks of work were absolutely horrible. I will be off to read your recent entries as soon as I finish answering comments here.

Yippee! You're back to posting!!! Missed you seeing you here sooooo much!

Sucks about the power strip. It is good that you had a back up. Cowboys and aliens? Bwahahaha! That sounded like a fun theme.

Missed you too!

The theme was an interesting mix of modern and 1800s period piece. I think they were trying to capitalize on the popularity of the film and it did work for the ball as well as the movie.

Welcome back, Chess! Are you all caught up with GH? Looking forward to chatting with you. There is so much going on right now and I'm loving it.

Happy Halloween! Fun Halloween parties and decorations.

Yikes, people will steal anything. :( I had a super old school laptop from the early 90s that was on its last legs. I only used it organizational purposes since it had no real power and someone still stole it a few months ago. The laptop looked busted, didn't function well, and was basically incapable of doing much of anything... Makes me mad just thinking about it.

Thanks! I'm all caught up with the juicy bits and I can't wait for Friday's chat. If you want to chat earlier, email me and we'll figure out a time. There is so much going on right now and I like most of it. I'm begining to like this Kate and I think there's a lot of story potential there.

Happy Halloween to you as well!

That's horrible. Even if the thing is old, it still belongs to someone else, so paws off. *sigh* I'm sorry that happened to you.

As bizarre as the Cowboys and aliens theme was, it was one amazing party. The organizers do a great job year after year. Can't wait to see what they put out next year.

Hee, I almost got stuck in the swamp. I didn't know they actually filled buckets with mud.

Totally bizarre, but awesome nonetheless. :D I had so much fun.

You almost got stuck? O_O I probably would have put my foot in a pool of mud as well if I hadn't been distracted by the witch's cave. That was my favorite part of all the decorations. I particularly liked feeling all of those "eyeballs" and "zombie brains."
