Holiday Weekend Barbecues and Productivity

This past weekend was a great mix of productivity and relaxation. I managed clean all of the windows in my house (inside and out), launder and store the autumn/winter linens, and clean out my closet. Kudos for cleaning out your closet! I did a small cleanup last Christmas, but only added more stuff since then. Lots of empty boxes, too :-(

The barbecue and entertainment you were in charge of sounds great!

Empty boxes take up so much room, but I do sometimes keep them because they are so handy to use for organizing. I really NEED to declutter more, but it's really hard to get rid of things.

Seven boxes? Wow, go you! Extra closet space is awesome. Your post inspired me to think about my junk. I think I will clean out my closet either this weekend or next.

Fun barbecue! Who won the scavenger hunt? What kind of items did you ask the participants to find?

Yay for getting rid of junk. It's really hard to part with things sometimes.

Claw's (my friend, Claudia) husband won first place prize (movie theater gift card and five pints of Ben & Jerry's) and a family friend won second place prize (Starbucks gift card and a half a pound of Jelly Belly beans).
